BBQ

Just had one of the last bbqs of the season and we had some great post-typhoon weather. Had some good times with good friends down by tamagawa and afterwards headed into shibuya for some birthday party merriment and hit up two shibuya locations that I haven’t been to in forever:

coins bar – located across from the tokyu hands in shibuya and downstairs it’s a cheap spot with a great location. Most drinks and food are ¥315 and they even have coronas and tequila shots for that price as well. The atmosphere is a bit dark but the clientele is decidedly less seedy than most other super-cheap casual bars in shibuya (tasuichi)

Trump Room: it can be a bit hard to find if you don’t know where it is and event information can be harder to find if you don’t know somebody passing out Facebook invites, but it’s almost always a good time if you just show up randomly on a Saturday night. They have two floors, each with a bar and dj booth so you have a few options when you go, and the decor in the place is pretty damn awesome, I’ll wrap this up with a pic:
